Properties in Freyung
Freyung is the district town of the Freyung-Grafenau district in the Lower Bavaria administrative region and lies in the Bavarian Forest not far from the border with the Czech Republic. The nearest larger city is Passau, and the population is around 7,000. The town is known chiefly for its location in the Bavarian Forest and its proximity to the Bavarian Forest National Park, which makes it a starting point for hiking and nature experiences.
The location is suitable above all for people who wish to live quietly in a natural setting and value small-town infrastructure with authorities, schools and shopping facilities. For students, Freyung is less obvious, as larger university locations such as Passau are some distance away. As an investment, properties here may be of interest, depending on location and object, to owner-occupiers, tenants from the region, or for tourist use.
